If you’re the type of person who just wants to find one person to work with for all of your editing needs, then the complete editing package is for you.

First, you’ll get a manuscript critique where you’ll have 3-5 big picture areas to improve in your next draft. You’ll receive a letter outlining what these areas are, why they should be improved, and guidance on how to change them. You’ll also get a one-hour coaching call where we can discuss whatever you need, whether it be you asking question or us brainstorming ideas together.

After you finish your next draft, you’ll get a developmental edit where you get the next 3-5 big picture areas to improve. These will be ones where you need more hands-on guidance. In addition to a letter like the one you receive for a manuscript critique, you’ll get on-manuscript comments with specific areas pointed out where you can enact improvements and suggestions on what those improvements can be. You’ll also get another one-hour coaching call to discuss anything you need.

With your next draft, your story should be ready for copyediting. Depending on your preferences at this time, I can copyedit your story, or I can send it to another editor for copyediting so that you have another set of eyes on it. Either way, I will remain your primary contact so that you don’t have to worry about working with someone else. After the copyedit, you’ll have a chance to review the recommended changes, and you can optionally get your manuscript formatted.

The last step is the proofread where I’ll review the story one last time for any lingering errors or errors that were introduced as part of formatting. Then your story is ready for publishing!
